The Up Down is a Libertyville-based acoustic trio built on friendship, community, and the simple joy of playing music together.

Formed by three neighbors who bonded over guitars, good stories, and a shared love of great songs, The Up Down brings a relaxed, feel-good energy to every performance.

We play the songs we love, the ones that soundtrack road trips, backyard gatherings, and late-night conversations. No big production, no ego, no rockstar pretense. Just three voices, three guitars, and the fun of connecting with people through music.

You can find us at our home base, Morgan’s Bar & Grill, where we host First Friday each month.  It's an upbeat, community-driven night of acoustic covers, harmonies, and familiar faces. We’re also available for private parties, fundraisers, and neighborhood events.
